Fellow Burnett-er David Perez wanted to go to Cannes. Really, Really Badly.
In order to go, he agreed to broadcast his entire experience via Justin.tv & Twitter and will do whatever people in the Twitter-verse tell him to. Like get a tattoo of the infamous Twitter Fail Whale or buy a Barbie for one of his fans.
Apparently, it’s all for this WildFire “Spontaneity in Modern Marketing” conference that is going on. Truthfully, I’m kind of shocked that Leo would put on this kind of spectacle. I know these days we’re all about ‘Acts’ and connecting with people but this takes it to an almost burlesque show-type level. And, if I’m honest, it’s kind of boring for everyone except David’s own friends.
One day I’ll go to Cannes as well. But I’m hoping it’ll be based on the merits of my work and not the lack of my integrity/dignity/(enter character standard of choice here).
