Black Sunshine

It’s not everyday that I hear of a client buying an idea that links their product to drug dealers and gang bangers. But the refreshingly liberal clients at Caribbean Farms have tapped Extreme Group (disclaimer: my first agency) to launch their new coffee line, Black Sunshine, in Canada.

Video based websites are hard. Jumpy cuts and bad execution abound in this area of advertising but in this case they have pulled it off beautifully. All in all, it’s a tight execution that is a definite break from the everyday in terms of coffee marketing.

My only critique is that when I got to the end of the process, I still wasn’t sure exactly what I was buying…or if it was even real. At some point you have to lift the curtain if you want people to spend real money.

Regardless, it’s a fun 5 minutes of your time and totally worth the trip if you want to see a really cool website. Nice job guys.
