Samsung’s “viral” SSD video
This thinly veiled marketing ploy for SSDs (or Solid State Harddrives) had me at hello. In fact, it’s not even thinly veiled it is quite blunt about it all – referencing the advertisers and having purposely shitty editing. But every computer nerd I have come across (including yours truly) felt compelled to watch the video as soon as it came across their desk/couch/Facebook/mom’s basement.
Yes, it’s advertising. Yes, it’s getting a whole viral tour around the internet. And yes, I’m just adding to it by posting it to The Bottom Rung. But all I can say is that I am jealous. Especially after Chris Dannen over at Fast Company broke out all the costs for us to really put my gaming box to shame.
