“Sprint ahead” vs. “Power Up”

I wrote about Sprint’s new ad campaign back in October 2006. Do remember when Ron Livingston was stealing the show?

Well they started that campaign on October 20th, 2006 and by July 1st, 2007 they had canned it.

In 2007, TBWA and the then CMO, Mike Goff, were replaced in favour of Goodby, Silverstein and the new CMO Tim Kelly. Man that was quick.

Is the new campaign that much better?
