Midterms…

Midterms…

Between flying home to Toronto for the weekend and week full of midterms and assignments, I’m going to be a very busy bee. I’ll start to post again next week I promise!

Sony’s 4th ad??

Just in from Adverblog, apparently Sony has just released a fourth bravia commercial. This one has me a bit confused as Playdoh just came out last week! Man, those guys sure have a lot of money…Anyway, I really enjoy the song in this one and the visuals are just as simple as they were with the Balls Commercial. Since this is supposedly a local Egyptian version created by Y&R, we won’t be seeing this on TV anytime soon.

Extra hard exam tables

The first time I saw this picture, I thought it was either a “best caption wins” contest or a good photoshop job. Alas, it is neither.

Cialis along with many other companies are now making a foray into doctor’s office advertising. Since Americans don’t get enough medically related advertising on networks like FOX and CNN, this should be a very lucrative media placement option. I know agencies will love it because now they can finally knock off Facebook from their hot new media option list and replace it with this masterpiece.

I have a feeling this specific example came directly from Cialis as it is a great example of make the logo bigger, or in this case show nothing but the logo.

WOW + Toyota = ?

From Autoblog comes Toyota’s new commercial for their Toyota Tacoma. Apparently it aired this past Sunday during football but I can’t independently confirm that.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen a commercial like this before, nor can I explain why Toyota would be trying to sell pickups to computer nerds the world over… However, it’s pretty funny none the less.

It’s a creative play off the World of Warcraft culture and it’s funny because the nerds get so upset that he spawned a truck in the game. He really pwned that dragon LOL!!!!!!!!

Update: I’ve only ever seen the Toyota Loch Ness version of this ad. However, this one is also awesome.
